Dodge Harris Obituary, BAXTER COUNTY, Ark. — Dodge Harris, 22, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, has died following injuries sustained in a single-vehicle rollover crash Friday night on the U.S. Highway 62 Bypass in Baxter County, according to the Arkansas State Police.
Authorities identified Harris as the driver involved in the crash, which occurred shortly before 9 p.m. Friday. Per to investigators, Harris was traveling westbound on the U.S. Highway 62 Bypass in a Toyota when the vehicle approached a curve in the roadway.
The Arkansas State Police reported that the driver failed to negotiate the curve and entered the median. As the vehicle attempted to return to the highway, it rolled over, causing Harris to be ejected from the vehicle.
Harris suffered fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead following the event. Spokespeople stated the preliminary investigation discovered that weather conditions were clear and the roadway was dry at the time of the collision.
The crash remains under investigation by the Arkansas State Police as agencies work to determine the circumstances surrounding the vehicle leaving the roadway and the factors that contributed to the rollover.
