Paul Lawson Obituary, LEWES, Del. — Paul Lawson, 48, of Harbeson, Delaware, died Tuesday evening, September 1, 2026, after his Harley-Davidson motorcycle was involved in a collision with a Kia Sorento on Route 1 near Bay Crossing Boulevard in Lewes.
According to the Delaware State Police, the crash occurred at approximately 6:10 p.m. when the northbound Kia attempted to make a U-turn and entered the path of Lawson, who was traveling southbound on the motorcycle.
The motorcycle struck the passenger side of the Kia Sorento, causing Lawson to be ejected from the motorcycle. Emergency responders transported him to a nearby hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Despite receiving medical care, Lawson later died from the injuries he sustained in the crash. His death has brought a tragic end to the life of the 48-year-old Harbeson resident.
The Kia was being driven by a 77-year-old woman from Pennsylvania, who was not injured in the collision. No additional injuries were reported in the information released about the crash.
