Allyson Duran Obituary, COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — Allyson Duran was found dead inside a residence on E. Vintage Court on Sunday, October 4, 2026, in what the Coeur d’Alene Police Department is investigating as an apparent murder-suicide involving her and Joshua Sneed.
Police said officers were called to the 700 block of E. Vintage Court at approximately 2 p.m. Sunday to assist medical personnel with a report of a deceased woman. A concerned family member had forced entry into the residence and discovered Duran deceased inside the home.
When medical personnel entered the residence, they also found a second deceased person, identified as Joshua Sneed. Coeur d’Alene police detectives responded to the scene and assumed responsibility for the investigation.
According to investigators, evidence gathered at the residence and during the preliminary investigation led detectives to believe Sneed was killed inside the home before Duran died by suicide. Police have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding Duran’s death or the evidence supporting their preliminary conclusion.
Investigators said Duran and Sneed had been involved in a dating relationship for approximately one year and were living together at the residence. The circumstances surrounding the two deaths remain under investigation as detectives work to establish the full sequence of events.
The Coeur d’Alene Police Department said there is no known threat to the public at this time. Authorities have not released additional information as the investigation continues.
