Pagan suffered fatal injuries in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash brought an abrupt end to the life of the 20-year-old Cleveland woman, whose memory remains with those who knew and loved her.
The Kia was driven by Matthew Hoffman, 56, of Oberlin. Hoffman was injured in the crash and transported by EMS to University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The collision temporarily closed the westbound lanes of State Route 10 near the crash scene. The roadway remained closed for approximately one and a half hours as emergency crews responded and investigators worked to document the circumstances of the crash.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted by the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office, North Ridgeville Police Department, Elyria Police Department, Eaton Township Fire & EMS, and the Ohio Department of Transportation.
