Ethan Anderson Obituary, MARSH VALLEY, Idaho — Ethan Anderson, a Marsh Valley High School baseball player from Idaho, has died suddenly, leaving his family, teammates, coaches and members of the wider community mourning his loss.
A GoFundMe campaign established to support the Anderson family confirms his death and describes him as an “incredible young man” who was a friend to many. The fundraiser was created to help the family with funeral and memorial expenses, lost income and other costs following his unexpected passing.
Anderson was closely connected to the Marsh Valley Eagles baseball program. According to the fundraiser, his love for the team went beyond baseball, particularly because of the brotherhood he found among his coaches and teammates. He was also remembered for his adventurous personality and his enjoyment of outdoor activities, including hiking, hunting, fishing and dirt biking.
His accomplishments on the baseball field were also an important part of his legacy. East Idaho News reported in May 2026 that Anderson was a senior member of the Marsh Valley Eagles baseball team. During a crucial state-tournament qualifying series against Filer, he hit a three-run home run and later pitched to secure the decisive victory.
That performance helped Marsh Valley qualify for the 4A state tournament and highlighted Anderson’s importance to the team both at the plate and on the mound. His teammates and coaches relied on him during a pressure-filled weekend as the Eagles pursued their state championship aspirations.
Following news of his death, grief has spread among those who knew Anderson and his family. The memorial fundraiser remembers him as someone who brought energy and joy to those around him, while emphasizing the lasting friendships and connections he formed through baseball and his interests outside the sport.
The specific circumstances surrounding the accident have not been detailed in the information provided, and no cause of death should be stated without confirmation from authorities or the family. Funeral and memorial arrangements have also not been provided.
