According to the Arlington Police Department, the incident happened at approximately 9 p.m. as Urquhart was traveling eastbound on Arkansas Lane. Police stated his sedan crossed the center median and continued through the westbound lanes of traffic before leaving the roadway.

The vehicle traveled across a grassy area near the intersection of Arkansas Lane and Southgate Street before crossing Southgate Street and striking a dumpster enclosure at a nearby business.

Urquhart was the only person inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. Emergency responders transported him to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the driver as Roy Urquhart, 77. Officials determined that he died from blunt force injuries sustained in the crash and classified the passing as accidental.
