Avery Raines Obituary, PICKENS COUNTY, S.C. — Avery Raines, 42, of Travelers Rest, South Carolina, was killed early Friday morning, August 28, 2026, in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 153 in Easley, based on to the Pickens County Coroner’s Office.
Pickens County Coroner Andrew Wilson said the fatal crash occurred at approximately 3 a.m. near Crestwood Court and Highway 153. Raines was the only person involved in the collision, and no other vehicles were reported to have been involved.
Based on to investigators, the vehicle was traveling along Highway 153 when it left the roadway. It subsequently struck a guardrail and a utility pole before coming to a stop.
Authorities stated Raines was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Emergency personnel responded to the scene following the collision, while authorities began investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident.
The cause of the crash has not been released. Officials have not indicated whether speed, weather, road conditions, impairment, or another factor contributed to the vehicle leaving the roadway.
