Joshua Silvar Obituary, ADAIR COUNTY, Okla. — Joshua Silvar, 25, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, died Tuesday evening after being involved in a multi-vehicle motorcycle crash on Highway 51 in Adair County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash occurred at approximately 5:15 p.m. near South 4660 Road. Silvar was traveling westbound on Highway 51 on a motorcycle when the crash occurred.
According to the preliminary investigation, Silvar attempted to pass another westbound vehicle in a no-passing zone. As he moved into the eastbound lane, his motorcycle collided with a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.
Another motorcyclist was also traveling westbound in the area. While attempting to avoid the initial collision, the second motorcyclist collided with Silvar’s motorcycle and subsequently left the roadway.
Silvar suffered fatal injuries in the crash and died as a result. The second motorcycle rider was injured, although the Oklahoma Highway Patrol had not immediately released additional information about the extent of those injuries.
The fatal collision remains under investigation by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. No further details about the circumstances surrounding the crash were provided in the information available.
